Biography: Mike obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in 2004 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick in 2007. Mike completed his articles at a Kelowna law firm and was called to the bar in 2008. Following his call to the bar, Mike practiced at another leading Vancouver personal injury law firm before joining Jarvis McGee Rice in December of 2010. What Mike enjoys most about his work is the opportunity to level the playing field between large insurance companies and individual plaintiffs. He is committed to listening and takes particular pride in getting to know the clients he works for. Mike’s practice continues to focus on all aspects of plaintiff’s personal injury and insurance litigation. Mike is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Vancouver Bar Association and the American Association of Justice, as well as an executive of the New Lawyers Litigation Group of the TLABC. He has been a lecturer for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and has had papers published in the Verdict and CLE Practice Material. Mike is also on the Board of Directors for Working Gear Clothing Society, a charitable organization that provides job-ready clothing to low income or unemployed men in search of employment. Interests: When not at work Mike spends his time with family, friends, and his beautiful wife, Hannah. He enjoys travelling and has previously lived in both Ireland and New Zealand.
