BIOGRAPHY:
Jon Harbut has been with Jarvis McGee Rice since 2008 and became a partner in 2013. His practice is focused on representing individuals who have been injured in motor vehicle collisions or accidents in commercial or residential premises. He also represents family members of individuals who are killed as a result of someone else’s negligence.
Jon has represented clients on numerous occasions in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Appeal. He has obtained significant verdicts for his clients in both judge-only and jury trials. He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and has made presentations on trial procedure and strategy.
Jon obtained a Bachelor of Science (Genetics) degree from UBC in 2000 and a Law Degree from UBC in 2006. He was ‘called to the bar’ in British Columbia in 2007.
When he is not working, Jon enjoys all things outdoors with his wife and three young boys.
